NTRCA plans to publish the notification after the ongoing transfer process for MPO-listed teachers is completed.
The 19th Teacher Registration circular may be published by October 2026, according to a plan by the Non-Government Teachers’ Registration and Certification Authority (NTRCA).
However, the circular could be delayed until November if the ongoing transfer process for MPO-listed teachers is not completed by October.
An NTRCA official told to the media on Thursday, September 10, that the Ministry of Education has asked the authority to publish the circular by October.
“We are working accordingly,” the official said. The official added that the circular may be published around November if the transfer process takes longer.
The official said NTRCA is ready to publish the circular. The authority will release it after the teacher transfer process is completed.
Education minister gives October 2026 plan
Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan has also said that the circular may be published around October 2026.
He gave the information in response to a question tabled in Parliament last Tuesday.
The minister said NTRCA is preparing to hold the 19th Teacher Registration Examination. It is also known as the 9th NTRCA Teacher (Entry-Level) Recruitment Examination.
The exam is aimed at recruiting entry-level teachers for private schools, colleges, madrasas and technical institutions.
NTRCA has already collected information on vacant teaching posts across the country.
New rules and syllabus work
The minister said the syllabus work is also underway. Under the 2025 rules, syllabuses for 106 existing posts have been updated.
Syllabuses for 13 new posts have also been prepared.
Several steps must be completed before the circular is published. These include approval of the syllabuses and the circular.
NTRCA must also update its online application system. The authority will then complete the required administrative approvals.
Exam will depend on vacancies
The new 2025 rules do not set a fixed time for the teacher registration exam.
Under the earlier 2006 rules, the exam had to be held at least once every year.
The minister said future exams will depend on several factors. These include teacher vacancies, demand and recruitment plans.
Administrative approval will also be considered.
For candidates, the next key step is the official circular. NTRCA is expected to publish it after the required work and approvals are completed.
