Dhaka Central University has released the DCU Admit Card 2026 for the first-year Bachelor’s (Honours) admission test from Sunday, 5 July. All applicants must download their admit cards before the examination, as entry to the exam centre will not be allowed without this document.
The admission test for the Arts and Social Sciences Unit will be held on 11 July from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm. The Science Unit examination is scheduled for 17 July from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm, while the Business Studies Unit examination will take place on the same day from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
The university will conduct all admission tests through a 100-mark Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) examination. Candidates must score at least 40 marks to pass. To be considered for their preferred subject, applicants must also obtain at least five marks in the relevant subject area. A deduction of 0.25 marks will apply for each incorrect answer.
According to the admission schedule, 65,680 students have applied for 11,290 available seats, resulting in about six applicants competing for each seat. The Science Unit received 31,553 applications, accounting for 48% of the total. The Arts and Social Sciences Unit received 23,365 applications, or 35%, while the Business Studies Unit received 11,244 applications, representing 17%.
The university has allocated 4,795 seats for the Science Unit, 4,498 seats for the Arts and Social Sciences Unit, and 1,997 seats for the Business Studies Unit.
The merit list will be prepared based on a total of 120 marks. The score will include SSC GPA multiplied by two, HSC GPA multiplied by two, and the marks obtained in the admission test. Candidates who passed the HSC examination in 2024 will have two marks deducted from their total merit score.
How to Download the DCU Admit Card
Applicants can download their admit cards by logging into the official admission portal using their registered email address and application password. The university has advised candidates to print at least two copies of the admit card for the examination.

- Click on the “Applicant Login” option.
- Enter your registered email address.
- Enter your application password.
- Click the “Login” button.
- Open your applicant profile.
- Click on the “Admit Card” option to download the document.
- Save the admit card and print at least two copies for the admission test.
Candidates must bring a printed copy of the admit card to the examination centre. Entry will not be allowed without a valid admit card.
According to the admission schedule, results for the Arts and Social Sciences Unit are expected on 14 July, while the Science and Business Studies Unit results are scheduled for publication on 20 July.
The university plans to begin classes for the 2025–26 academic session on 6 September after completing the admission process.
