Sixteen lakh questions, one date. As candidates for the SSC and equivalent exams count down the days, one question dominates every class group chat: Will the results really be released on July 20th? Here’s the honest, verified answer: All signs point to yes, but the official announcement hasn’t been made yet.
What the Education Boards Are Saying
According to the Bangladesh Inter-Educational Board Coordination Committee, preparations for the results are underway, with a deadline of Monday, July 20. This is the clearest indication yet: the boards themselves are working against the clock to meet that date.
What is still missing is the official announcement. In Bangladesh, results publication dates are officially announced once final approvals are completed, and as of this week, such an announcement is pending. Until then, July 20 remains the working plan, not a guaranteed date.
The Minister Has Said July 20 — More Than Once
The strongest public commitments have come from the Minister of Education himself, Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon. He first announced the date at a press conference at the Ministry in early June. He repeated it on June 18, stating that the secondary school results would be announced on July 20, two months after the exam. And he confirmed it for the third time on June 23 during a visit to Chattogram.
A date publicly announced three times by the minister rarely changes. Unless something exceptional happens, July 20 is the key date.
The 60-Day Rule Backs It Up
There is a long-standing tradition surrounding this date. SSC results are traditionally published within 60 days of the completion of the written exams. This year, the SSC exam began on April 21, the General Education Boards finished their written exams on May 20, and the Dakhil and SSC (Vocational) written exams concluded on May 24.
By our calculations, the 60-day period falls between July 19 and 23. A result from July 20 would fall perfectly within this timeframe, maintaining the boards’ track record of punctuality.
How the Result Will Be Available
When the result publishes, candidates will be able to check it the usual ways:
- Online: through the education board results website by entering roll and registration numbers
- SMS: from any mobile operator in the standard format announced by the boards
- Institutions: schools will also receive their results
Rising Barta will publish the complete step-by-step checking guide, including the exact SMS format, as soon as the result day is officially confirmed.
What Students Should Do Now
Have your registration and enrollment numbers handy, note the correct spelling of your exam board’s name, and take a deep breath: the wait is almost over. Beware of fake “results released” links circulating on social media before the official time; results are only published through the exam board’s official channels.
And rest assured: whatever the exact date, the results will be available in a matter of days, not weeks. The exam boards are in the home stretch.
Rising Barta will bring you official confirmation as soon as it’s available, along with a complete guide on how to check the results and pass rates by exam board on the day of publication. Stay tuned.
