The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education has asked all government college principals to submit approved subject lists to support the creation of posts.
The Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education (DSHE) has asked all government colleges across Bangladesh to submit copies of approval documents for their academic subjects by November 8.
The instruction applies to subjects taught at the Higher Secondary, Degree, Honours and Master’s levels. Principals of all government colleges, including nationalized colleges, have been asked to provide the information.
The directive was disclosed in a letter issued by the DSHE on Tuesday, November 3. The letter was sent to the principals of the concerned colleges.
According to the letter, the information is needed to create posts in government colleges under the directorate. The requirement also covers colleges nationalized under the 2018 regulations.
For Higher Secondary-level subjects, colleges must provide approval documents issued by the relevant Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education. For Degree, Honours and Master’s-level subjects, they must submit approval documents issued by the National University.
The DSHE has instructed college principals to send the required documents to the Deputy Director of its Human Resource Management (HRM) Branch by November 8.
The directive covers all government colleges under the directorate, making the submission deadline applicable nationwide.
The requested information will help the directorate identify approved subjects across different academic levels as part of its process to create posts in government colleges. Colleges must submit the relevant approval documents within the specified deadline.
The deadline for submitting the subject approval documents is November 8.
