Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan praised teachers for shaping students and urged them to keep learning new skills.
Education and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr A N M Ehsanul Haque Milan has greeted teachers in Bangladesh and around the world on World Teachers’ Day.
In a message, Milan said teachers guide each new generation. He said their work goes beyond classroom lessons. Teachers also help students build moral values, discipline, patriotism and a sense of duty.
The minister said teachers play a key role in building a knowledge-based and humane state. He also said teachers need new knowledge and skills to keep pace with changes in education and technology.
Milan urged teachers to use new teaching methods. He said they should help students grow in creative thought, new ideas, humanity and moral values.
He said Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is giving top priority to better education. He also said the government is focused on teachers’ skills, dignity and welfare.
Milan said a good and lasting education system cannot be built without proper dignity and facilities for teachers.
He expressed hope that teachers’ skill, hard work and sense of duty would help students become capable and humane citizens. He said their guidance would help build a Bangladesh based on knowledge, justice, humanity and progress.
On World Teachers’ Day, the minister paid respect to teachers for their work and dedication. He also wished them good health, long life and well-being.
The message comes as Bangladesh observes World Teachers’ Day, with the minister stressing the role of teachers in education and student development.
