SSC Board Challenge Result September 10 — How to Check Online and by SMS

The results of this year’s SSC and equivalent exam review—commonly known as the board challenge—will be published on Thursday, September 10. Candidates can view them starting at 10:00 a.m.

Dhaka Education Board Chairman Professor Syed Aktaruzzaman has confirmed the publication date.

Method 1: Check Online

The results will be available on the unified school board results website, educationboardresults.gov.bd, and on each board’s website.

Boards typically publish test review results in a downloadable PDF format. Open the sheet for your board and subject, and then look up your student ID number on the list.

This format differs from the main results, where you must enter your information on a form. Here, the search is conducted on a published list; therefore, have your student ID number written down before you begin and use your browser’s search function instead of scrolling through thousands of entries.

Method 2: SMS Notification

There is a second route, and it works differently from the usual result SMS.

The examination boards send a message directly to the mobile phone number provided when requesting a grade review, but only to candidates whose results have changed. If your grades have been reviewed, you should receive the notification automatically.

This has an important practical implication: not receiving a text message does not mean there is no news. If you don’t receive any notification, it’s most likely that your result hasn’t changed, but you should still check the website rather than assuming it has.

Keep the mobile number used in the application active and reachable through Thursday.

A Record Number of Applications

This year’s re-scrutiny drew an unusually large response.

More than 400,000 students submitted applications, covering approximately 1.3 million exams in total. Of these, more than 1,056,000 applications were for written exams and more than 231,000 for practical exams.

This volume adds to the main results, published on August 10, in which the pass rate was 62.25%, with 116,676 students achieving a score of 5.000 (GPA 5). These figures left a considerable number of candidates dissatisfied, some of whom even requested a review of their exams.

What Re-scrutiny Actually Does

It’s important to understand what Thursday’s results can and cannot offer, as expectations often outpace the process.

The review is not a re-evaluation of your exam. The examiners check whether the scores were tallied correctly, whether the OMR answer sheet contained any errors, and whether any answers were left unmarked. No one rereads your answers to judge them differently.

However, within those limits, the process does affect the results. Each year, a significant number of students see their scores improve, some candidates who had failed pass, and several achieve an average of 5 on the review.
