Fifteen students have been picked for Class XI admission under special quotas in the Jashore Education Board area. The colleges have lowered their GPA rules for the selected students.
The board said 12 students were picked under the disability quota. Two were picked under the expatriate quota. One was picked under the cultural quota.
The special quota covers students with disabilities, children of people who work abroad, BKSP graduates, and students who won sports or cultural awards at divisional or national level.
A board notice names all 15 students. It says the students can take admission under the special quota.
Syeda Minnatallah has been picked for the Science group at Government MM City College in Khulna. She won first place in a dance contest at the Khulna divisional level.
Koel Afroze has been picked for the Science group at Jashore Cantonment College. Jilani Jahan has been picked for the Humanities group at Jashore Government MM College. Both were picked under the expatriate quota.

Five students have been picked for the Humanities group at Jashore Government MM College under the disability quota. They are Md. Shahriar Alam, Ridiana Islam Radia, GM Ofia Zaman, Ramisa Mehjabin and Hossain Ahmed.
Md. Naimul Islam has been picked for the Commerce group at Government MM City College in Khulna. Pranto Pradip Sarkar has been picked for the Humanities group at the same college.
Gopal Krishna Biswas has been picked for the Science group at Khulna Government College. Tasnim Alam Jisan has been picked for the Humanities group at Government BL College.
Md. Al Amin, Lamim Reza and Abul Kalam Azad have been picked for the Science group at Kushtia Government Central College.
Jashore Board College Inspector Professor Md. Kabuayat Ali Biswas said the colleges had lowered their GPA rules for these students. He said the students can take admission by hand at their chosen colleges. They do not need to file an online form.
He said the Education Board will not place any bar on them in this process. He also said many of the 15 students have already taken admission at their colleges.
Students who have not yet taken admission should complete the process within the time set by the board. The admission will follow the rules in the board notice.
