47th BCS Final Result

The 47th BCS Final Result for the Viva Exam is likely to be published next week, according to sources at the Public Service Commission (PSC). Although many candidates expected the result this week, officials said the preparation process has not yet been completed.

A PSC source said on Thursday, 25 June, that there is no possibility of publishing the result on the day. The source added that some technical work is still pending, and the final result has not been fully prepared. According to the source, the result may be released in the middle or at the end of next week.

The clarification came after reports circulated on Facebook claiming that the PSC was holding a meeting regarding the publication of the 47th Viva BCS Result. The commission rejected the claim and said the information being shared on social media was incorrect.

Speaking on condition of anonymity, a PSC official told Rising Barta that PSC Chairman Professor Mobasser Monem was scheduled to attend an exchange meeting with examiners at the 71 Auditorium at 3:00 pm. The official said there was no full commission meeting on Thursday and described the Facebook reports as false.

The PSC published the notification for the 47th BCS on 28 November 2024. The preliminary examination took place on 19 September 2025. The commission published the preliminary results just nine days later.

The written examination was held from 27 November to 18 December 2025 across eight divisional cities: Dhaka, Rajshahi, Chattogram, Khulna, Barishal, Sylhet, Rangpur, and Mymensingh.

On 7 April, the PSC announced the written examination results. A total of 3,631 candidates were provisionally declared successful and became eligible for the oral examination stage. The viva process is now nearing completion.

According to the official 47th BCS notification, the recruitment process will fill 3,688 positions. Of these, 3,487 are cadre posts, and 201 are non-cadre posts.

The publication of the final result will determine the candidates selected for these government positions, with the PSC expected to complete the remaining preparation work before announcing the outcome next week.
