Appointment letters for the recommended government primary school assistant teachers will be issued by district primary education offices.
Appointment letters for 14,384 candidates recommended for government primary school assistant teacher posts will be issued on Thursday, September 24.
The letters will be issued by the respective district primary education offices. The newly appointed teachers are scheduled to join their respective district primary education offices on October 1.
District education officials said they received instructions from the Directorate of Primary Education to issue the appointment letters on September 24. The letters are generally sent to candidates by registered post.
Narsingdi District Primary Education Officer Niranjan Kumar Roy confirmed the matter. He said his office received the instructions and that division-level meetings are being held at the Directorate of Primary Education.

Noakhali District Primary Education Officer-in-charge Ishrat Nasima Habib said preparations are underway to issue the letters. She said the letters will be issued once the necessary preparations are completed.
Chattogram District Primary Education Officer Firoz Ahmed also confirmed that the appointment letters will be issued on Thursday.
Teachers to join on October 1
The 14,384 newly appointed teachers will join their respective district primary education offices on October 1. Their posting process is expected to begin from October 4.
The appointment process follows the recommendation of 14,384 candidates for assistant teacher posts in government primary schools.
Two-month training planned
The authorities are also working on a professional training programme for the newly appointed teachers. The plan is to provide them with two months of special training.
However, the starting date of the training has not yet been finalised.
Director General of the Directorate of Primary Education Shahina Ferdousi said training is an important part of the job. She said officials are working to start the training after the teachers receive their postings.
She also said officials are considering whether the training could begin from the day of posting.
Training policy sent to ministry
Discussions are underway with the Ministry of Education to finalise the training schedule.
Farid Ahmed, Director General of the National Academy for Primary Education (NAPE), said the training policy for the new teachers has been revised and submitted to the ministry.
He said the training may be conducted in two shifts if necessary for all 14,384 teachers. No final decision has yet been made on whether the training will be residential or non-residential.
There is also no clear instruction yet on whether a teacher’s appointment would be cancelled if the teacher fails the training.
The NAPE director general said he did not think the appointment was supposed to be cancelled in such a case. However, he said he was not sure whether the revised policy contains a specific decision on the issue.
The district primary education offices will now complete the appointment letter process before the newly appointed teachers report on October 1.
