About 14,000 assistant teachers will get appointment letters on September 24. They will join government primary schools on October 1 under nine conditions.
The respective District Primary Education Offices will issue the appointment letters. The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education issued an order on Tuesday, September 22.
The teachers were selected through the Assistant Teacher Recruitment Examination 2025. The exam was held under the revenue sector of the Directorate of Primary Education.
The Central Primary School Teacher Recruitment Committee recommended the candidates. The committee also selected them on a provisional basis.
They will be appointed against vacant assistant teacher posts in government primary schools. The posts have a salary scale of Tk 11,000 to Tk 26,590. The posts are under Grade 13 of the National Pay Scale 2015.
The appointment will be temporary at first. The first two years after joining will be treated as the probation period.
Permanent employment will be considered after the probation period. The decision will depend on work, conduct and service records.
A teacher may be removed during probation for misconduct. No transfer application can be made during the probation period.
Teachers must not subject children to physical or mental abuse. Disciplinary action will be taken if such abuse occurs.

The appointment will be cancelled if any submitted information or certificate is found false, forged or defective. A criminal case will also be filed under the applicable law.
The teachers must complete a two-month government training after joining. They must also complete the basic training, known as BTPT, within four years.
A teacher who does not take the required training, or fails it, will not receive permanent employment. Action will also be taken under the service rules.
Each teacher must submit a bond on a Tk 300 non-judicial stamp at the time of joining. The bond will state that the teacher will not give or accept dowry for themselves or family members.
Other matters will follow the existing government rules and orders. Any future rules and orders will also apply to the teachers.
The appointed teachers must appear in person at the District Primary Education Office on October 1. They must join during office hours on that date.
Anyone who does not join on the specified date will be considered unwilling to join. The appointment letter will then be treated as cancelled.
