The Directorate of Primary Education has ordered officials to update records of teachers who have joined new workplaces.
The order came in a letter issued on Thursday, October 8. It was sent to all Regional Deputy Directors and District Primary Education Officers. The letter said the matter is very urgent.
Teacher transfers and postings are now taking place at Upazila, District, Division and national levels. Several transfer and attachment orders have already been issued.
But records of teachers who joined new workplaces have not been updated in the Integrated Primary Education Management System, or IPEMIS. The Directorate said this is causing various office problems.
District Primary Education Officers and Divisional Deputy Directors can update the records. They can log in to IPEMIS with their own IDs. They can also act on problems linked to transfer or attachment orders.
Such action must follow decisions of the Policy and Operations Division of the Directorate of Primary Education.
The Directorate has told officials to update the records without delay. They must follow the steps given in the attached document.
The order covers teachers who have joined new workplaces after transfer or attachment orders. Officials will now need to complete the updates in IPEMIS as instructed.
