The Board of School Education (BSEH), Haryana, has released the exam city details for the Haryana Teacher Eligibility Test (HTET) 2026. Candidates who registered for the examination can now check their allotted exam city through the official HTET portal.

The HTET 2026 examination will be held on 4 and 5 July 2026 for three levels: Primary Teacher (PRT), Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), and Post Graduate Teacher (PGT). The exam city details were made available on 25 June 2026.

The online application process was conducted from 24 December 2025 to 5 January 2026. The admit cards will be released before the examination, according to the schedule announced by BSEH.

Candidates can download their exam city details by visiting the official HTET portal. They need to log in using their registration number or login ID, date of birth or password, and the captcha code. After successful login, the allotted exam city will be displayed.

The HTET is conducted for three teaching levels:

  • Level I: Primary Teacher (PRT) for Classes 1 to 5
  • Level II: Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) for Classes 6 to 8
  • Level III: Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) for Classes 9 to 12

The board has not announced the total number of vacancies, as HTET is an eligibility test for teaching positions. The selection process includes a written examination followed by document verification, where applicable.

The application fee varied by category and examination level. For Level I, the fee was ₹1,000 for General, OBC, EWS and other state candidates, while eligible SC and Persons with Disabilities (PH) candidates from Haryana paid ₹500. Higher fees applied for Levels II and III.

Candidates applying for different levels were required to meet the prescribed educational qualifications. These include Class 12 with relevant teacher education qualifications for PRT, graduation with required teaching qualifications for TGT, and a postgraduate degree with B.Ed. or M.Ed. for PGT, subject to the eligibility conditions notified by the board.

The release of exam city details allows candidates to plan their travel and other arrangements before the examination. Candidates are advised to download their admit cards once they are released and follow the instructions issued by the Board of School Education, Haryana for the examination days.
