She says she passed all stages but did not get her appointment letter
A Pirojpur candidate says she was left out during checks after being selected as an assistant teacher. Sumaiya said she passed the written and viva tests for a job at a state-run primary school. But she did not get her appointment letter.
Letters for selected candidates began to be given out in several districts on Thursday, September 24. Other candidates received their letters. Sumaiya said she did not receive hers.
Sumaiya lives in Mirukhali Union in Mathbaria upazila of Pirojpur. She passed her secondary exam from Safa High School. She then passed her higher secondary exam from Pirojpur Mahila College.
She joined the Mathematics Department of Pirojpur Suhrawardy College in the 2017–18 academic year. She later finished her bachelor’s degree in mathematics. The supplied information says she stood first in the department.
Sumaiya said she kept studying during her pregnancy. She also sat for the written and viva tests while leaving her newborn child behind.

She said she was later selected for the teacher post. But she said the police and the National Security Intelligence, or NSI, left her out during their checks.
Sumaiya said she has not been told why she was left out. She also said there are no cases against her.
She said some members of her family hold posts in the BNP. She said her brother was an agent for the BNP in the 13th National Parliamentary Election. She also said her husband and father-in-law hold posts in the party.
She said her father-in-law has been with the BNP since it was formed. These claims were made by Sumaiya while speaking about the checks.
