Revised results show 4,585 failed students have passed, while 3,079 students newly achieved GPA-5
The scrutiny of SSC and equivalent exam papers has changed grades for 27,836 students across 11 education boards. The revised results were published at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 10.
The Inter-Education Board Coordination Committee published the results across the country. The changes include marks for 56,259 students. Also, 4,585 students who had failed have now passed, while 3,079 students have newly secured GPA-5.
Data from the Inter-Education Board shows that 1,829,485 candidates took this year’s SSC and equivalent exams. A total of 402,052 candidates applied for scrutiny. Their applications covered 1,056,458 answer scripts.
The scrutiny results were issued after this year’s SSC and equivalent results were published on August 10. The overall pass rate across nine general boards, the Madrasa Board and the Technical Board was 62.25 percent.

Among the nine general education boards, the pass rate was 64.05 percent. This was the lowest rate in 19 years, according to the information provided. The number of GPA-5 achievers also fell by nearly 19,000 compared with last year.
The lower pass rate led many students to seek a review of their results. Online applications for scrutiny were accepted from August 11 to August 17.
Students who applied for scrutiny can check their revised results through their respective education board websites. They can also receive the result by SMS on the mobile number used in the application.
The revised results are also available through the designated result service. Applicants can visit rescrutiny.eduboardresults.gov.bd and provide the required information to view their results.
The latest figures show that scrutiny led to changes in both grades and marks. Students who applied for review can now check their revised results through the available channels.
