752 students newly secured GPA-5, while 380 students passed after their answer scripts were re-evaluated.

A total of 1,684 students have had their SSC results changed after a re-scrutiny of answer scripts at the Jashore Education Board. Of them, 752 students newly achieved GPA-5, while 380 students newly passed the examination.

The re-scrutiny results were published on Thursday morning, September 10, 2026. Professor S. M. Hossain Ali, Controller of Examinations at the board, disclosed the figures.

The board received 74,717 applications for re-scrutiny of SSC answer scripts in 25 subjects. The applications were submitted after students challenged their 2026 SSC results.

Among the 380 students who newly passed, one received an A grade, three received an A- grade, 33 received a B grade, 19 received a C grade and 324 received a D grade.

The board also reported changes in grades among other students. One student moved from D to A-. Fourteen students received a C grade.

Among students who had a C grade, one improved to A, one to A- and 65 to B. Among those with a B grade, two improved to GPA-5, 12 to A and 150 to A-.

Nineteen students improved from A- to GPA-5, while 308 moved from A- to A. Another 731 students improved from A to GPA-5.

Professor Hossain Ali said every answer script submitted for re-scrutiny was re-evaluated this year. He said this was done for the first time at the board.

He said action would be taken under examination laws against teachers whose errors led to the mistakes. Those teachers will not be assigned to evaluate answer scripts for the 2027 examination.

The changes follow the board’s review of SSC answer scripts after students sought re-scrutiny of their results. The updated results give affected students a revised academic record.

The Jashore Education Board has published the re-scrutiny results. Students whose results changed can use the updated result for their next academic steps.
