DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed handed over scholarship money to the students at a ceremony in Rajarbagh on Saturday.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has awarded the DMP Scholarship-2025 to 437 meritorious children of its members. The scholarship was given at a ceremony held at the Rajarbagh Police Auditorium on Saturday, September 12.
DMP Commissioner Mosleh Uddin Ahmed, BPM-Service, attended the programme as the chief guest and handed over the scholarship money to the students.
Of the 437 recipients, 249 students received scholarships at the secondary and higher secondary levels under the merit scholarship and higher education support scholarship categories. Another 188 students received support under the higher education support scholarship category.
Speaking at the ceremony, the DMP commissioner said the scholarship is more than financial assistance. He said it recognises students’ talent, hard work, perseverance, dreams and future potential.
He also highlighted the role of police families in supporting DMP members. Police personnel often remain at work during the day and night, including during festivals and important family occasions, while carrying out their duties to protect people.

According to the commissioner, the achievements of police members’ children are a major source of pride and motivation for their families and the DMP.
Addressing the scholarship recipients, Mosleh Uddin Ahmed encouraged them to treat the recognition as motivation for greater achievements. He urged the students to develop themselves so that they can become an inspiration for others in the future.
The commissioner also said today’s meritorious students will contribute to Bangladesh in different fields. Some may lead important sectors, create new knowledge, serve people or contribute to the country’s development.
He congratulated all recipients of the DMP Scholarship-2025 and wished them success and a bright future.
