The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent English Second Paper examination will be held across Bangladesh on Wednesday, July 8, 2026. The examination will begin at 10:00 am and continue until 1:00 pm under the General Education Boards and the Bangladesh Madrasah and Technical Education Board.
Education authorities have instructed all candidates to enter their examination centres at least one hour before the examination starts. According to the official routine, OMR answer sheets will be distributed at 9:30 am, while question papers will be handed out at 10:00 am.
Candidates must carry both their admit card and registration card to the examination centre. Students without either document will not be allowed to enter the centre or sit for the examination.

The HSC and equivalent examinations began on July 2, 2026, with the Bangla First Paper. The English Second Paper is the next scheduled major subject in the examination routine.
This year, a total of 1,270,583 candidates are taking part in the HSC and equivalent examinations under 11 education boards across the country. Of them, 621,969 are male students and 648,614 are female students.
The examinations are being held at 2,697 centres nationwide.
Authorities have advised all candidates to follow the examination instructions carefully and arrive on time to ensure smooth entry into their respective examination centres. The English Second Paper examination will be conducted according to the published national examination schedule on Wednesday, July 8.
