The Directorate of Primary Education says the result will not be released on July 9, and an official notice will announce the revised publication date.
The publication of the Primary Scholarship Result 2026 has been postponed, delaying the announcement for thousands of fifth-grade students and their families across Bangladesh.
The result was scheduled to be published on Thursday, July 9. However, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education stopped the publication at the final stage. Officials said a new date will be announced through an official notice after the remaining work is completed.
Director General (Additional Secretary) of the Directorate of Primary Education (DPE), Shahina Ferdousi, confirmed the delay while speaking to the media on Thursday.
She said the Primary Scholarship Examination result would not be published on July 9. She also said there is a strong possibility that the result will be released at the beginning of next week if the remaining preparations are completed. The ministry will issue an official notification after the publication date receives final approval.
The scholarship programme covers fifth-grade students of government primary schools across Bangladesh. Many students and parents had been waiting for the result on Thursday.
According to sources from the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education, the result preparation process has not yet been fully completed. Officials are also resolving several technical issues related to the result processing system before the final publication.
If no further problems arise, the authorities expect to publish the result on Sunday, July 12, 2026. However, officials have not officially confirmed this date.
Once the result is published, students will be able to check their scholarship status through SMS.
Dilip Kumar Sarkar, System Analyst of the Directorate of Primary Education, said the SMS service has been prepared with the support of Teletalk Bangladesh Limited. Students using any mobile operator, including Teletalk, Grameenphone, Robi, Airtel, and Banglalink, will be able to use the service.
To check the result by SMS, students should type DPE, leave one space, enter their roll number, and send the message to 16222. For example, a student with roll number 123456 should send DPE 123456 to 16222. A reply message will show the student’s name and scholarship result.
Students will also be able to check the result online after the official publication. They will need to visit the official IPEMIS result portal, select the Primary Scholarship Examination, enter the student’s roll number, district, and upazila, and then submit the information to view the result and marksheet.
The online portal and SMS service are expected to become available immediately after the ministry officially announces the result through a press briefing.
Until then, students and guardians have been advised to avoid unofficial sources and wait for the Directorate of Primary Education’s official announcement. The revised publication date will be shared through an official notice once it is finalized.
