Subheadline: Schools must collect original certificates from November 3 to 10 according to a district-based schedule issued by the Dhaka Education Board.
The Dhaka Education Board has announced the schedule for distributing original certificates of the 2026 Secondary School Certificate (SSC) Examination. Heads of secondary-level educational institutions must collect the certificates from the board office on their assigned dates between November 3 and November 10.
According to a letter published on the board’s website on Wednesday, October 28, the certificates are ready for collection. Schools must collect them from the board’s Certificate Section between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm on their designated dates.
District-wise SSC certificate distribution schedule
The board has divided the distribution process across six working dates. The schedule covers districts under its jurisdiction and the Dhaka Metropolitan Area.
| Date | Districts and areas |
|---|---|
| November 3 | Munshiganj, Madaripur and Faridpur |
| November 4 | Shariatpur and Manikganj |
| November 5 | Gazipur and Rajbari |
| November 8 | Narayanganj and Tangail |
| November 9 | Narsingdi, Dhaka District and Gopalganj |
| November 10 | Kishoreganj and Dhaka Metropolitan Area |
School heads have been instructed to follow the assigned dates and collection hours to receive the original certificates.
Documents required to collect original mark sheets
The board has also set requirements for collecting original mark sheets on behalf of educational institutions. Schools must provide details of the numbers of male and female students who passed in each division.
The head teacher or an authorised representative must submit an authorisation letter and three attested specimen signatures to collect the documents. These requirements apply to representatives collecting the mark sheets on behalf of their institutions.
Special rules for acting head teachers and principals
Additional documents are required when an acting head teacher or principal collects the mark sheets, either personally or through a representative. The application must include a copy of the decision made by the institution’s Managing Committee or Governing Body.
The application must also carry the countersignature of the Managing Committee president, Governing Body chairman or the relevant Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO). The board has stated that it will not issue the original mark sheets if these requirements are not met.
What schools need to do next
Secondary-level institutions under the Dhaka Education Board should check their assigned collection dates and prepare the required documents before visiting the board office. They must also ensure that the correct authorisation and signatures are in place, particularly when an acting head teacher or principal is involved.
The collection process is scheduled to run from November 3 to November 10, 2026, with institutions required to follow the board’s district-wise timetable.
