The results of the 2025 Primary Scholarship Examination will be officially published on Sunday (July 12, 2026) after a press conference organised by the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education.
The press conference will begin at 12:00 pm at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka. Education, and Primary and Mass Education Minister Dr. A. N. M. Ehsanul Haque Milon will announce the results. State Minister for Primary Education Bobby Hajjaj and other senior officials will also attend.
According to a press release issued on Saturday by the ministry’s Senior Information Officer, Abdullah Shibli Sadiq, officials will present key information about the primary scholarship results during the briefing. The results will be released immediately after the press conference, and students will then be able to check them through the designated official channels.
This year, 82,500 students have been selected for primary scholarships. Of them, 80% are from government primary schools, while the remaining 20% are from non-government primary schools and kindergartens. The scholarships are awarded under two categories: Talent Pool and General Grade.
More than 640,000 students sat for the examination this year. Around 550,000 candidates were from government primary schools, while about 90,000 were from non-government primary schools and kindergartens.
The examination took place from April 15 to 18 across all districts except the three Hill Tracts districts. In Rangamati, Khagrachhari, and Bandarban, the examination was held under a separate schedule from April 17 to 20.
The Primary Scholarship Result 2026 was originally scheduled to be published last Thursday. However, the publication was delayed after the results of nine districts in the Dhaka Division were mistakenly uploaded to the official web portal before the formal announcement.
The results were accessed through the uploaded links and quickly spread on social media, leading to widespread discussion and criticism.
Following the incident, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education temporarily suspended Md Mehtab Kayes, Assistant Maintenance Officer at the Directorate of Primary Education. The ministry issued a gazette on Friday, placing him under suspension under the Government Servants (Discipline and Appeal) Rules on charges of misconduct.
The Directorate of Primary Education has also formed an investigation committee to examine how the premature publication occurred.
The ministry is expected to provide further details about the scholarship results and the publication process during Sunday’s press conference before officially releasing the results.
