Students preparing for the upcoming Dawra-e-Hadith (Takmil) exam should take note. Al-Haiatul Ulya lil-Jami’atil Qawmiyya Bangladesh, the country’s highest authority on Qawmi madrasa education, has issued three urgent directives regarding exam registration.
The instructions were published in a notice on Monday, July 13, signed by Mu, the director of the board’s office. Osiur Rahman. The notice urges muhtamims of all affiliated madrasas, responsible officials, and Dawra-e-Hadith candidates to follow the directives correctly to ensure a smooth registration process. The meaning of each directive is explained below.
Directive 1: Your Name and Information Must Match Exactly
This is the point that usually causes the most problems for students. The board requires that the candidate’s name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth match exactly on the grades and results lists from Sanabiyya (Ulya) and Fazilat.
Even a minor spelling difference is considered a discrepancy. If any information differs between the documents, the student must contact the board immediately, make the necessary correction, and upload the corrected grade sheet during registration. Delaying the correction may prevent registration.
Directive 2: NID or Birth Registration Is Now Mandatory
All applicants must submit a birth certificate or a national identity document (DNI). No exceptions.
Students who do not have either of these documents have been advised to obtain them as soon as possible and upload them at the time of registration. If this applies to you, begin the process now: correcting birth certificates and DNIs can take time, and waiting until the registration period opens is a risk you shouldn’t take.
Directive 3: Fingerprints for Female Candidates
The third directive introduces a biometric step. Female candidates will have to give fingerprints of the right thumb and index (shahadat) finger during registration. The same fingerprints will then be verified at the exam centers during the exam.
To make this work, the board has specially requested every women’s madrasah and markaz (exam center) authority to urgently procure the ZKTeco SLK20R biometric fingerprint scanner and complete the necessary technical preparations.
Why These Rules Matter
According to the statement, the three directives aim to ensure transparency, discipline, and the proper management of the Dawra-e-Hadith exam process. The board has requested the full cooperation of all involved.
For students, the practical message is simple: review your documents today. Compare your scores, confirm you have your national identity card or birth certificate, and if you need to correct anything, contact the board without delay.
What Students Should Do Now
- Match your name, parents’ names, and date of birth across all marksheets
- Apply for correction through the board immediately if anything differs
- Collect your NID or birth registration certificate if you do not have one
- Female candidates: be prepared for fingerprint registration at your madrasah
Rising Barta will bring you the registration dates, fees, and full schedule of the Dawra-e-Hadith exam as soon as the board announces them.
