The results of the 2026 primary education scholarships have been released, with 79,246 students across Bangladesh awarded scholarships this year. If you are a parent, teacher, or student wishing to check the results now, this guide explains the two available official methods: online (including a detailed score report) and via SMS from any mobile phone.
The results were officially announced on Sunday, July 12, during a press conference at the International Mother Language Institute in Dhaka. Since then, the inquiry systems have been open to the general public. Details on how to use them follow below.
Method 1: Check the Result Online (IPEMIS Portal)
The official way to see the result online is the IPEMIS portal of the Directorate of Primary Education. This method shows the complete result, including subject-wise marks, and lets you download the marksheet.
Follow these steps:
- Open your browser and go to ipemis.dpe.gov.bd — the scholarship result section
- Select the Primary Scholarship Exam option
- Choose the exam year — select 2025, because this was the 2025 scholarship exam (the test was held in April 2026 and the result came in July 2026)
- Select the student’s district and upazila
- Type the roll number carefully, fill in the captcha if shown, and press submit
- The result will appear on screen — you can download the marksheet as a PDF
A quick tip: right after a result release, lakhs of people hit the server together, so pages may load slowly. If the site hangs, do not panic — wait ten or fifteen minutes and try again. The result is not going anywhere.
Method 2: Check the Result by SMS (No Internet Needed)
Away from the internet, or the website will not open? Any mobile phone can get the result by SMS, and it works on every operator — Grameenphone, Robi, Banglalink, or Teletalk.
- Open the message option on your phone
- Type: DPE then a space, then the student’s roll number
- Send the message to 16222
Example: if the roll number is 123456, type DPE 123456 and send it to 16222. A reply SMS will come back with the student’s name and result.
Remember, the SMS gives you the short result only. For subject-wise marks and the printable marksheet, you still need the online portal.
What the Winners Will Receive
Scholarship recipients receive tangible financial support. Winners in the “talent pool” category receive 300 Tk per month, while those in the general category receive 225 Tk monthly; additionally, both categories receive a one-time annual allowance of 225 Tk. This benefit continues for the two years following the completion of the fifth grade.
Common Problems and Quick Fixes
- Wrong roll number: double-check the roll on the admit card; a single wrong digit shows another student’s result or nothing at all
- Site not loading: heavy traffic — retry after some minutes or use the SMS method
- No reply SMS: make sure the format is exact (DPE, space, roll) and your phone has enough balance for one SMS charge
